I’m not sure Mother Nature knows it’s finally fall. We seem to be rainy in the 70s or rainy in the 40s. Where’s the sunny mid-50s? And all these drastic temperature changes have given me a cold. Or maybe it’s stress. Anyway, while I’ve been struggling to breathe, I did a little fall decorating. Nothing fancy, just some simple fall decor for our fireplace and dining table.
I used the pumpkin pails I painted last year again on our fireplace. Can you believe how much the tile has improved the overall look?! It’s amazing!
Since I now have the tall black vases on the fireplace step, I wanted something fall themed. I fell in love with these eucalyptus bunches at Hobby Lobby. The eucalyptus green is a bit of a teal green which matches our house so well and the gold, navy, purple, and maroon are perfect for fall.
Over in our dining area, I added some metallic pumpkin and gourd vase fillers to a lantern.
I needed a break from the teal and white placements but just the lantern on the table seemed bare. I found some burlap at Walmart and cut two strips as a makeshift runner. It cost all of $3 but I think it adds a lot to the table. As do the small votive baskets on either side that match the ones on the mantle. They were a Pottery Barn find last year.
And that’s it. My simple fall decor. It will take us from now through Thanksgiving!
Nice! Those metallic pumpkins look really great in the lantern! Well done!
Beautiful! And the finished fireplace really does make a difference. Everything is gorgeous!
