Rainy Day To-Do List

You know how there are always tasks you think of to do at home?  But they are never super important like washing the dishes or doing laundry?  Landon and I always seem to have a list of tasks that aren’t pressing but also not “wow” projects like a whole laundry room makeover or landscaping or a new deck (post is coming soon!).  Those little tasks are always thoughts for later but later never seems to come.  Landon came up with a simple idea a couple weeks ago to solve that, so naturally I made a printable for our rainy day to-do list.

Back to School/Work Hacks

As of this past Friday, I am official off crutches!  Nearly two weeks sooner than my last surgery which is pretty incredible!  But that means I now am back in the office rather than working from home every day.  It’s ironic timing since Landon has been in school a few days this week in preparation for school starting next week.  So it feels like back to school/work for both of us at the same time.  Whether it’s a new school year, or just a new Monday, we always want to put our best foot forward.  Here are the back to school/work hacks Landon and I have been working on this week as practice for when reality really hits next week!

Life Updates: Summer 2019

What a summer!  What a year really, and it’s only a week into August!  I feel like we have been up to so many projects this year but nothing has been “complete” enough for a blog post.  But the journey is half the fun and I think fun should be shared.  So here is everything we have been up to over the past few months.

How to Create a Password Tracker for Free

Guys, we need to get serious over on this part of the internet.  Bad things can happen without a moment’s notice and it pays to be prepared.  Today I am sharing how I set up a secure password tracker for Landon and myself.  There are different apps out there but most of them cost money.  This tracker isn’t meant to look up something when we need it. It’s more for emergencies if anything were to happen to either of us – like if my surgery had gone bad.

How to Create a Month Long Meal Plan

For as long as I can remember, I have always tried to meal plan on a weekly basis.  I hate the feeling of realizing my plan for dinner is ruined by missing one crucial ingredient.  And going to the grocery store multiple times a week is not a fun way to spend your time, even if it is a quick trip!  I’ve attempted to meal plan a month at a time before and failed.  But this time I got it right.  So far, I’m nearly done with my second month and I will not go back! Here I’ll share how I did it.
