Remember when I shared the wall decor I made for our master bath last year? Well, ever since then I have been thinking of what to do with our other bathroom. So many ideas have entered my mind since then but nothing felt right. Until I was in the dollar section at Target. We had had the sequin shower curtain since we moved in and finding this little diamond tray at Target put me on the glam decor track.
Another trip to Target about a month later, brought me this cake stand (also from the dollar section). I think it fits perfect in the corner, but I also want it as a centerpiece on our dining table. Should have bought two. I should mention that I did not plan on the tissue box matching the walls so well but I guess I got lucky. I would like to find a marble tissue box cover though!
Remember my foaming soap recipe? It works for non-foaming soap dispensers too. I used grapefruit essential oil. Hate the fruit, but love the smell of the EO. My mom picked up the plate at The Container Store because she thought it “looked like me.” I would have to agree.
After a few searches for diamond decor, I found these cool diamond like wall accents. After ordering them, I feel like I’ve seem them all over Pinterest. Just last week a blogger I follow showed her daughter decorating her room with them. They work for all ages!
I have always loved these beaker vases (8inch and 16inch) from CB2 but never knew where to put them. Once I decided on the glam theme, it was a no brainer. I knew there were crystal accessories often used for bridal stuff. I lucked out when a trip to Hobby Lobby had all the His and Her wedding line at 50% off. And taking a walk down memory lane is always fun too. But Landon didn’t send tortured pictures to his friend this time. I was quick.
Lastly, I wanted a little art. I still love silhouette pieces but decided against a black and white printout. I chose a chandelier because I am a little obsessed with them. The watercolor background was made with a 99 cent Crayola paint set. I packed it with some watercolor paper for a little craft at the cabin last weekend. It was actually pretty fun to do, considering I probably haven’t used watercolor in nearly two decades. {Gosh, am I really that old?} Anyway, I had printed out a chandelier and taped it to the back of the watercolor, taped that to a window and traced. I then used a white Sharpie to color in the detail. The piece reminds me of The Little Mermaid and I like the little whimsy it brings to the room. ??♀️ ?
Everything looks wonderful. I have to come over and walk around I think!!
