New Things I’m Loving to Beat the Heat
It’s crazy to think July is halfway over! Which means summer is halfway over but there’s still plenty of warm weather left. While I’m more of a cold weather kind of gal, I have found a few things to help beat the heat.

Full weeks after short holiday weeks are always a bit rough. Luckily, this week has been going by pretty fast for me. I feel like the weekend will be here again before we know it – which is pretty great. And you can find me chillin on our front porch!
Simple Pearl Drop Earrings DIY
Years ago I had made some simple pearl drop earrings. The pearl beads weren’t real and over the past month I noticed the finish wearing off. Since they were so easy to make, I got some more pearl beads and made another pair. These literally take only a few minutes to make and are great for jewelry making newbies. They’re such an elegant addition to any outfit and could also make a great gift!
DIY Peanut Jar to Change Jar
Well, last week I made a hat into a wreath. So this week’s repurpose project was a peanut jar to change jar. We have been needing a change jar for quite some time and I couldn’t find any jars I liked. I wanted glass but had heard of some breaking so that didn’t seem like a good idea. Then Landon finished some peanuts and I thought I could make the peanut jar pretty to hold our change.
