At work we have a Secret Santa gift exchange. It is fun to partake in, but it also means more gifts to buy. Which then potentially causes more holiday stress. But I was able to minimize the stress with some clever and easy Christmas gifts. I also have found the most amazing recipe for making edible coal – seriously so good! And I made some cute little Christmas themed brownies that could not have been any easier. ?
DIY Glass Etching Gifts
I’m a practical gift giver. I follow a list and almost always give what is on the list. So for non-list type situations, I struggle. Big time. But I also like being crafty, and that can make the most drab practical gifts incredibly cute and personable. There are two girls from my old department that I am still close with and we exchange gifts. I decide to do a little DIY glass etching as part of their gifts. If you’ve never done glass etching before, it is the fastest and easiest DIY ever. I swear.

Living Room Christmas Decorations
? It’s the most wonderful time of the year! ? We have our Christmas tree up! And I finally sewed our Christmas stockings! Exciting times here in our house. I’ve gone pretty simple this year with our living room Christmas decorations but I think it still captures the holiday spirit. ?
DIY Foam Hand Soap – Holiday Scents

Turns out, I just needed to make the same castile soap before but put it in a foaming dispenser. Eureka! We have clean and happy hands! Continue reading “DIY Foam Hand Soap – Holiday Scents”
DIY Snowflake Wreath
After seeing social media this past month, I really should have no reservations for hanging this DIY snowflake wreath on my door the day before Thanksgiving. Apparently, I’m a month behind on the Christmas decor!

Things I’m Currently Loving

Orange and cinnamon essential oils
Oh. Em. Gee. If this dynamic duo doesn’t smell like warm, comforting fall to you then I don’t know what will. I’m not sure what made me decide to mix them but it is the best! We got this little Michigan Scentsy plug-in as a wedding gift. While I loved the smell we received, whenever it was on it bothered Landon’s allergies. So I poured a little water and few drops of each essential oil and viola! A fall smelling home in no time. The water does evaporate so depending on how long I have it on I refill it. I think coconut oil would work too but hey, water is free from our well. Continue reading “Things I’m Currently Loving”
