Well it seems masks are here to stay for awhile. And there’s nothing better than taking it off the minute you walk outside. But I’ve had some close calls dropping mine. Fumbling with removing a mask and putting sunglasses on, often while holding a bag and keys. It’s not ideal that’s for sure. If only there was a holder to keep the mask handy when not wearing it. Enter the mask necklace holder!

Treadmill Table 2.0
What is it about treadmills that make them so unappealing on the eyes? Don’t get me wrong, they are an amazing machine but they don’t really go with any decor. Well, except maybe a gym’s decor. Not the point. A few years ago I got an old treadmill for free. And I mean old. It doesn’t even have a cup holder or a place to put a book so it certainly can’t hold a phone. So we made a table for it. But it’s time for a table upgrade. Hence, treadmill table 2.o.
Life Updates Summer 2020
Is it really July?! I can’t believe how fast the past month has flown by! We’ve celebrated 3 birthdays and Father’s Day with Landon’s family. The one free weekend in between all that my parents came for a visit. We hadn’t seen them since the end of February so it was so nice! With all the gatherings, we had less free time but we still stayed busy with some landscaping. Here’s what we’ve been doing with Summer 2020!
Decanting Pantry Items and Cook Time Cheat Sheet
Is your phone all organized now? Are you ready for an easy project away from the couch? How about decanting your pantry items? I also have a solution for all the cooking directions on your pasta and rice packages so decant those too.

How to Organize from Your Couch
When I was in college, my friends and I had a joke that our rooms were the cleanest whenever we had a big paper due or a test to study for. It was like we couldn’t get down to business and focus unless everything was Marie Kondo’d – and this was before anyone in the states had heard of her. Since everything started shutting down 8 weeks ago (8?!), there have been social media posts about using this time at home to get organized. Then there have been posts that state that’s too much and we shouldn’t add more to our plates during stressful times. I totally get it. I’ve had the urge to declutter but have completely lacked either the time or energy on any given day. Cooking three meals a day every day is getting old…
Our New Normal
We are in our fourth week of staying home. I really wasn’t sure if I’d talk about this when this new normal first started, but I feel like I have thoughts to share. Just thoughts on what we have been doing, how we have been doing, and trying to look on the bright side while acknowledging our range of emotions.
Food
Apparently baking helps stress. I have made brownies, apple crisp, 4 dozen cookies, two loaves of beer bread, and as of tonight, two batches of deep dish cookie bowls for two.
