Golf Themed Centerpiece

Due to my hip surgery, I won’t be able to play golf this year.  But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a golf themed centerpiece on our kitchen table!  It was also a way to reuse things from our wedding that otherwise wouldn’t see the light of day.  This could easily be recreated on a smaller scale to fill many tables for a bridal shower or golf themed wedding.

Hair Barrette DIY

I don’t wear red.  People who know my mother probably wouldn’t think we are related with that fact.  She loves red.  And consequently, always has something to wear for most holidays.  I struggle at Christmas, Memorial Day, and the Fourth of July with what to wear.  Well not anymore!  This Fourth of July, I am ready.  I already have lots of blue and white to wear so a gorgeous red hair barrette DIY was a great solution.  It was super easy.  And by sticking to one color, it will work for any occasion that involves red.

How to Create a Month Long Meal Plan

For as long as I can remember, I have always tried to meal plan on a weekly basis.  I hate the feeling of realizing my plan for dinner is ruined by missing one crucial ingredient.  And going to the grocery store multiple times a week is not a fun way to spend your time, even if it is a quick trip!  I’ve attempted to meal plan a month at a time before and failed.  But this time I got it right.  So far, I’m nearly done with my second month and I will not go back! Here I’ll share how I did it.

How to Build a Mailbox

Remember when the windchill was 50 below in January?  We do, it’s when our mailbox died.  The plow came by and the snow had hardened into chunks and just took it out.  Landon went out in the blistering cold to fix it.  And for weeks after, every time I went to get the mail I found screws on the ground that fell out.  And it looked pretty pathetic too.  So off to Amazon we went from the comfort of our couch and ordered a new one.  And with a 6×6 post, we built it to withstand all future plows.  Without further ado, here is how to build a mailbox!
